After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Alfred University and a Master of Arts from the State University of New York at Albany, I traveled the country as both an artist and teacher. That journey eventually brought me to the Big Island of Hawaii, where I’ve built an off-grid studio and home nestled in the island’s powerful landscape. Since 2020, I’ve been painting here full time, immersed in inspiration and devoted to sharing the romance of the arts with you through my creations.
Beyond art, I enjoy a wide range of interests. I love the game of chess-though my rating suggests my mind may be better suited for abstract composition than concrete tactics. Swimming has also been a lifelong pursuit, both as a competitor and coach. My favorite book is The Urantia Book, which is a spiritual revelation that greatly influences my life and service to others.
